We hold our lecture Advanced Security for Systems Engineering (183.645) for different master studies of information science in WS2020. Current information regarding the lecture is also available via a RSS feed. You can also get some information on the lecture in (external link)TISS.

Advanced Security for Systems Engineering is a lecture with exercises which concentrates on advanced IT security aspects as a whole for IT systems. As a prerequisite for the lecture you need to know the content of the lectures Introduction to Security and Security for Systems Engineering. Registration

The registration was in TISS until October 09, 2020.

Distance Learning

We will -- if not stated otherwise directly at the lecture -- transcribe each of our lectures and publish the slides as well as the transcription. In addition, you will conduct a literature search for some lectures in order to learn further theoretical aspects.

You will get the slides on the evening before the lecture, at the latest. At the beginning of the lecture times, we will be available for discussions in INSO Jitsi -- the details are available in tuwel.

Additionally, you can raise questions in the tuwel forum of the lecture.

The test as well as the inspection of the test are planned as presence dates.

Currently, there are no examination talks planned for the exercises. However, this can change depending on the submissions. Moreover, if questions arise during evaluating your submissions, we will contact you in order to explain your submissions.

Lectures/Slides

Only the dates which are presented subsequently are authoritative. Please note that these can change exceptionally.

In WS2020 there are no presence lectures due to COVID-19. We plan to publish the slides as well as transcriptions on the evening before the lectures at latest.

The lecture time for the discussions is on Fridays, 01:15pm-02:45pm in INSO Jitsi. You only need a browser to access the discussion. Details on the discussion room will be in tuwel before the first lecture.

Note: Our exercises traditionally start at 11:55pm if not stated otherwise.

Test

The tests are planned to be in the lecture halls. If this changes due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will publish information about that as soon as possible.

The test is a closed book test. Therefore, the use of documents at the test is not allowed. The content of the test will be the lectures and exercises.

There will be 4 possibilities to take the exam.

The (external link)registration for the tests is in TISS. The deadlines for the registrations are 1 day before the tests respectively.

The 3rd and 4th possibility to take the exam are available at request.

Please note that you can finish the lecture positively only if you are positive in the lecture as well as exercise parts, i.e., you have more than 40 points for the lecture and more than 60 points for the exercises.

Note: Sometimes, your grade is not displayed correctly in tuwel. Therefore, please always compare your grading with our grading table above.
