IT Security in Large IT Infrastructures is a lecture with exercises which concentrates on special aspects of IT security that are relevant for large IT infrastructures (e.g., large IT infrastructures of health telematic networks). As a prerequisite to participate in the lecture you have to know the content of our lecture Introduction to Security. Additionally, it is recommended to have visited the lectures Security for Systems Engineering and Advanced Security for Systems Engineering or to know the contents of these lectures.

Registration

The registration in TISS is already finished.

Distance Learning

We will -- if not stated otherwise directly at the lecture -- transcribe each of our lectures and publish the slides as well as the transcription. In addition, you will conduct a literature search for some lectures in order to learn further theoretical aspects.

You will get the slides on the evening before the lecture, at the latest. At the beginning of the lecture times, we will be available for discussions in INSO Jitsi -- the details are available in tuwel.

Additionally, you can raise questions in the tuwel forum of the lecture.

The test as well as the inspection of the test are planned as presence dates.

The lectures and the inspection of the test usually are on Fridays, 01.15pm-02.45pm, in the Hörsaal 14A Günther Feuerstein, if not stated otherwise.

Exam

The exam is a closed book exam. Therefore, the use of documents at the exam is not allowed. The content of the exam will be the lectures and exercises.

All in all there will be 4 possibilities to take the exam. For dates, please see TISS.

A binding registration in TISS for the exam up until 11:55PM on the evening before the test is mandatory.

Please note that you can finish the lecture positively only if you are positive in the lecture as well as exercise parts, i.e., you have more than 50 points for the lecture and more than 50 points for the exercises.
