Seminar aus Security provides knowledge in selected topics of IT-Security in the form of discussions, a comparative literature search and a presentation of the results.
In the seminar particularly the following aspects are relevant:
Audience-friendly work-up of a topic
Presentation in a conference-like setting
Giving and taking feedback
The papers have to be written in English.

The planned dates for the Seminar aus Security are:
Choose an appropriate new paper name and search for more relevant literature. Present it in 2-3 slides.
Work on the structure of your paper and your final presentation. Present the structure of your paper (2 layers) in 1-2 slides. Present the structure of your final presentation in 1 slide.
Write the paper based on your base paper and additional literature you found. You need to use our LaTeX template. The paper needs to have 5 pages. information on how to write good papers can be found in, e.g., Top 10 tips for writing a paper.
To improve the quality of your papers and in order to get used to scientific procedures the papers will get a peer review. Therefore, review 2 papers of other students.
Improve the paper based on the student reviews.
Submit your final paper.
Present your results
Grading
For the Seminar aus Security you can get at most 100 points. Please note that we are sharp on the basic requirements -- for a positive grading you have to use our template, you have to write 5 pages and you have to submit your work before the deadlines.
The grading will be based on
Quality of the paper (content, style, scientificity, literature) -- 60 points at most
Quality of the written peer review (argumentation, conclusiveness, giving reasons) -- 30 points at most
Quality of the final presentation -- 10 points at most
